Good news, we will be going to landing trip soon, in october, to Toronto.
We are planning to visit the states, either by car or by air,
and this will happen within 4-12 days from entering canada.
1. Will it be possible? 2. Will we be able to enter canada back from the states while we don't have still our PR cards? 3. and with which paper? 4. will our landing visa be still valid or it's for a single entry?
1. Yes, why not? But if u aren't from a visa exempt country - u'd require a visa to enter the US.
2. Yes, but only 'by road' in a pvt carrier.
3. If by road - then ur COPR & pps suffice. Else [for other modes of travel], ur PR cards r a must.
4. The PR visa is 'single-entry'... gets void when u perform ur 'landing'.
Hello everyone, I have a question... Is it okay if I bring 1 rim of cigarettes in my check-in luggage? I am planning to bring 1 with me but I don't know if I need to declare it (List of Accompanying goods). Or is it okay if I don't declare it at all? Would there be a problem?

I wanted to ask about if it is ok to bring prescribed medicines but like 3 months old prescribition medicines?
I think there is no health insurance for 3months, so I was thinking to bring few medicines from my home country for the safe side which I already got a prescribition for earlier.
Me and my family should be landing by nov 2012 and we are looking for an apartment to rent in a range of 2000 CD. Do you recommend any site to check for specific area to look for, we r a family of 4 including a child and a baby?

i landed jun 14 and my pr was sent on aug 2nd but i did not get (lost)
i applied for new one and i have to wait for min 4 weeks so maybe i'll get it Oct 15
i need to travel outside canada and get back Oct 19
if i did not get the pr i should apply for travel document (abudhabi canadian embassy)
how long it will take to be issued
how can i apply , should i send my passport and wait , i send them an email but no answer
I think it will be better to ask someone to send it to you by courrier from canada once it is ready,

After receiving the visa we plan to just land for 1 month and come back to Dubai and settle for good maybe after a year or two.
