I have a question about the landing at the border by road. Do the immigration officers click the pictures for PR card at border crossing or CIC just uses the pictures given to the consulate during visa stamping. I am asking this because when i landed, nobody clicked our pics. I am wondering which pic cic would use for my PR card.
hai everbody
we had got our visas and we are planning to travel to toronto from india for couple of weeks to complete our landing formalities. One of our friends had recommended to take our POF in demand draft ( in indian rupees ) so that we can easily encash when we are back . I just want to know whether the immigration officers at the port of entry will accept proof of funds ( app. CAD 17000 for 3 members) in indian rupees or not .seniors kindly advice
Hi Qorax,
you must have answered this question many times i guess.. but your input is always greatly appreciated.
I am FSW3 category, after a long wait we just received the medicals. I completed all the procedures, just my wife who is 13 weeks pregnant could not go through the x-ray. The doctor said she will send all the documents other then the x-ray report. Now my question is
will our application will be put on hold until the baby is born? could you plz explain the process. Thank you kindly

Yes, your file'd be kept stand-by due to incomplete meds.
A. U should write a letter to your VO indicating the situation (though the DMP'd have noted).
B. After delivery, submit all docs of the baby for his/her inclusion into your PR file.
C. U'd receive his/her meds alongwith your spouse's requirements, as applicable.
D. Thereafter all your PRVs would be released.
Expect 3-5 months timeframe from submission of baby's docs.
Qorax *an alternative is to get her Xrays done thru a 'protective shield'.
i sent enquiry abt case status and vo replied my file is awaiting for reveiw to VO" i sent updated PCC + updated forms in june. how much time VO takes to review when i shoud expect MR.

Slightly off topic. But when I landed we went to Burlington, Vermont for the day and then returned to Canada where I landed. I realised that the Canadian border officers never removed my i-94 form from my passport and I won't be returning to the US anytime soon so I am going to have to mail it to them. Has anyone else had to do this and what proof of you leaving the US did you include?

US Immigration officer will be the one to get your US I-94, my case they didnt get it since I will be returning in 2wks to US after my formal landing in Canada. But in some other case, when I went out for a long (3-4 mos) vacation outside US, they removed my I-94 & if they didnt I should be the one to surrender it before boarding the plane. Once, I forgot to surrender my I-94 & when I came back to US they told me to mail my old I-94 & next time it is my duty to surrender once they miss it.
