Thank you so much for information Ashish and Alok.
So does that mean as soon as I land in toronto then I apply for my PR card at the airport and can leave within a week.
I do have my cousins in toronto and can get the card delivered to their address in toronto.
but as on the COPR it says destination as Calgary but if I mention the toronto address for Card delivery would that be a problem as I read somewhere the officer asked a person that as his destination on his COPR is alberta then he will have to give Alberta Address for the Card Delivery.

I've landed last Friday on March 11th. My online status still shows Decision made, it's been like this even before I receive my CORP....I tried to enter my case online using my permanent resident confirmation number, which is on the COPR, but can't log in?? Can anyone please advise? When did your online status change??? Will the status show your PR card is in process? thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You may try searching on Kijiji. It's an advertisement website. In my opinion they have the best offers of various types of housing in Toronto. But you must be prepared to call the landlords. Not everyone accepts emails. Some of them require references from previous landlords, some require credit history or proof of employment, so you must pick and choose and try to find someone who is willing to rent without any conditions. Sometimes the landlords may require payment of the first and the last rent. You must also remember that there are parts of Toronto with criminal activity going on. These are not safe and you should stay away from those.
You can search online on Kijiji.ca or even take help of an agent. Real estate agents do not charge you anything. They get commission from the landlord.

The status never changes to "PR card in process". After a few weeks, it will simply show that you landed on so and so date on so and so airport and became permanent resident. thats all.
I have a question regarding Driver's license in Ontario:
I've read that if we get a "experience letter" from our country of origin, then it helps in reducing the wait period for getting driver's license in Canada.
I'm from New Delhi, India and I was able to get an "EXTRACT OF DRIVING LICENSE" from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Delhi. It is a document that shows the following:
Driving License No., Date of Issue, Name, Father's name, DOB, Validity and class of vehicles that I can drive. It also has the signature of the RTO inspector and Indian government's stamp on it.
Will this suffice as a document for considering my years of experience outside Canada? Or do I need anything else?

I have a question regarding Bringing funds in the future from sale of property.
I am landing soon, but i will not be selling my house in India. I intend to sell it at a later date and bring in the funds at that time. My queries are:-
1. Do i need to mention the approximate value of that house in the B4a form?
2. I read somewhere that we need not mention future funds anymore in the forms.
3. How much time am i provided, as a new immigrant, to bring in the funds from the sale of that house without the usual tax?
I do not think it makes so much sense hunting for homes before you arrive. Most landlords or agents you contact will ask to meet so that they can take you for a viewing. Once you are here, you will be able to find many real estate agent offices in and around wherever you are.
