Does anyone know if it's possible to land from inside Canada? I applied outland, but I've been staying in Canada with my husband. I got the request to send in my passport, but I'm concerned about landing. I don't live too far from the border, but I don't have a car, so I have no way to get to the border. It's ridiculous to think that I've come so far with this, only to be faced with a roadblock at the very end.
Try to to reach your CIC local office. I have heard of people who didn't go to the border and ended up "landing" at the local office.
Did you think of renting a car? It may be worth it!
Is there a bus you can take? (I'm assuming you're American and can enter the US easily.) My husband landed via Megabus.
You can land from inside Canada. However I believe it takes a number of weeks to get an appointment. Hopefully someone else can provide more details about this bit.
