Its a learners license, you get after passing the written exam
ok thanks, here in alberta its called class 7 and you have to hold it for one year before you can go for driving test.
im sure you can carry on the waiting period once you move to albera and switch your license.
im not sure if you can still use your international driver license in alberta once you have got a learners even though you are still within the first 3 months.

Hello! I hope you don't mind sharing details about house or apartment rentals and mortgage, and salary of mechanical engineer with and without APGA registration.
Many thanks and more power!
Dear Calgarians,
I am planning to move to Calgary from Dubai. I have driving license from Dubai. I have heard that in order to speed up the driving license process in Toronto, I need to get experience letter from Dubai driving authority. Does the same apply to Calgary as well?
I am asking this question because the expiry date of Dubai experience letter is two months, which means that I must plan my landing in such a way that this letter does not get expired. If this letter makes no difference in Calgary, then I can delay my landing because, I want to spend couple of months in Pakistan before eventually landing in Calgary.
Waiting for your advice...
Regards,
AAJ
hai aaj,

You can not drive in ur expire licence here what u could have for first 3 month in valid licence.
But getting direct canadian full licence on basis of ur past driving history wont matter if ur licence is valid or expire recently

Dear Aquib,
Good to see you around
Actually, I am not referring to my Dubai license, which is not going to expire any time soon. I am referring to the two years' experience letter, which I shall get from Dubai licensing authority. It helps in Toronto. The bit I do not know is if it helps in Calgary as well?

Thanks for the reply.
Two days back I receive an e-mail after 4 months of my medical, regarding provide proof of funds and asked to provide explanation for a specific transaction.
I am going to provide my bank statement and supporting documents for explanation of transaction. I just want to know that how much more time could it take to receive PPR1, as this email received after 4 months of medical and my medicals will get expired on 30-Jul-2014.
Thanks again for providing information of my earlier post.
