Hi babu,

Congrats on your getting PR Visa. Thanks for sharing this vital and useful information. Plz do not forget this forum and keep posting your valuable posts.

Good Luck for your future life in Canada. God Bless You.

hi Babu

Where did you stay on arrival ?
How did you book your accomdation?
I have applied as FSW for Alberta.can I land in Toronto?

I do not have friends in Canada how can I proovide them address to send my PR
can you suggest any rental place where they will guid and help in theses matters?

thank you and good luck

marie, it took me two hours in total from time of landing to exit. Again as explained the wait was longer at baggage arrival from flight and at customs.

Well done. The very best of luck in the future.

Babu,

Congrats! This is as photo-realistic a description as one can imagine. Can you reply on where you arranged for accomodation and what about the address to provide for recieving PR card, SIN etc?

I am a bit confused about the goods to follow, does it only describe items in baggage on self, or other items that you may be bringing in later.

I am staying with a friend sharing an apartment. I think that is the best way if you can find one.
Regarding accommodation in toronto, you can check on
http://247apartments.com
http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/hhh/
www.gottarent.com
http://www.safehomestay.com
There is another thread in this forum titled "Accommodation & Settlement Service for New Immigrants ~ Toronto " check it...it should be helpful.

Goods to follow means items that you may be bringing later. Nothing to do with what is already with you when you arrive.
Goods in checked in baggage and in hand luggage have to be declared separately in the form. There may not be enough space, you may bring
a pre printed list in spread sheet with approx values.

If you have applied for Alberta, you can land in Toronto. There is no problem under FSW category except for Quebec.
For sending PR, if you are not planning to stay for 3 or 4 weeks, you can rent a po box. I have posted a separate thread
on the forum some time back. You can check on that.

Initial place to stay, pl check on below links
