Me and my husband are planning to apply to sponsor me outland. As Latvia is a former USSR state, I also have to provide a translated and notarized photocopy of a workbook as well as a reference letter from my former employer here in Latvia. Which is not the issue.
Since then I have also worked in UK and Canada. Should I get Labour Record from each country?? I never had any workbook on my hands.
You don't need a labour record from the UK or Canada - we don't have 'workbooks' anyway. The application does ask for details of your employment history, so that should be enough for jobs outside of the former USSR.
My wife is an Armenian national, and thus we are supposed to provide a "work book" too. However, she's never worked in Armenia (she spent most of her life elsewhere), so she doesn't have a work book (although apparently you can simply buy one from a shop). What would be our best course of action? Just buy a blank one and explain that she's never worked in Armenia?

Just found out I can get a reference from the State Revenue Service (in Latvia) which has all the information from the workbook. And all the info will be on one page which will make it easier to translate because in a workbook it is all scattered around on different pages.
Could it be ok to submit an official reference instead?
