Kuwait vs India // Online or paper based

Dear Friends,

I need some help in taking the next steps for my Visa application.

I am an Indian Citizen working in Kuwait. I got into MSc Bigdata program at SFU
Applied for student permit thru VFS Kuwait (visa office : Abu Dhabi )on May 15 2014 -- received rejection Jun 12 2014
Reason: Study Plan missing

I need to reapply again.

The problem is if I apply from Kuwait the processing time is 10 weeks and that will be too close to the start of classes (Sept 2nd )
so planning to apply from India - to save on the processing time. Will this anyhow negatively affect my chances, having got a refusal from the abu dhabi VO.

if i apply online How can i make sure to force the visa office to be from India and not abu dhabi.
Or should i just apply through VFS in mumbai


Any help or advise is highly appreciated

Can you share with us the reason of rejection? And was the reason of rejection justified according to you?

About the online process, if you need it to be processed in India, I think you will need to mention that you are currently residing in India. This way I think so it gets processed in the respective country

any advantage of online vs paper based application if i do from india

the reason:

• You have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision i would i considered several factors ,including

* your current employment situation

• Other reasons

* you have not provided a study plan to support why you must study in canada

According to the experience on this forum, it seems both the paper based and online are same.

About your rejection reasons, do you think they are justified? Like did you miss out on any document as they mentioned? You should make that improvement when applying for 2nd time.

yes they are justified
i do know the study plan and my pay stubs were missing

actually the VFS Kuwait guys misguided me regarding the document checklist
they didnt know what documents are needed for Study permit when applying to abu dhabi office

also i made a blunder by not checking the website and just trusting their words

i will have the documents ready in 2 days ....
so thinking about staying in Kuwait vs flying to bombay

generally people say it is better to apply from ur homecountry.. im from kuwait too having a valid visa.. but im working in india..decided to apply from here.

you need to a strong study plan , indicate why did you choose Canada . write a strong study plan , and use a good vocabulary to show them that you have a goof English . it doesn't matter , they didn't say that you don't have home ties . so if you applied form India or Kuwait its same thing .
also you need to show them that you will leave Canada by the end of your study period in your study plan .
