Your app is not going any slower and you will likely be a citizen by the end of the year if all is well with your application.
In comparison, my dates were:
Nov 6 - app sent, Nov 8 - received, early Jan - AOR, Feb 2 - In Process, Aug 8 - test.
If you want to apply to a federal job you should have requested for urgent processing with proof from the start. You could try contacting now but I'm not sure whether it would speed up your process.
Thanks for the info! I didn't realise you could request urgent processing. I guess I will have to be patient. If I get the job offer and the citizenship still hasnt come, then I might go down the urgent route at that point!
Quick question. So the 12 month timeline that has been quoted as being mandated, that is kind of guaranteed, is that 12 months from the date of in process or 12 months since receiving the application?

Not a 100% sure. During my interview, the officer told me that I might have to wait up to 3 months for the oath, then he checked when I applied and said they'd try to put me ahead of the queue and that I'd hear in a month. So my guess is 12 months since receiving. Majority of your application time is due to your file being stuck in a pile. And yea for urgent request you'd need to have an offer letter, or a letter stating that you need citizenship to get the job and you're being considered for it. This is what I've learnt from this forum, there are more qualified people who'd have a better answer.
Actually what happened, I filter the sheet using column B (A-Z), and for some reason it didn't sort all the columns correctly. And once sorted then I checked/searched all the users, and found different cities for all the users.
Also, from sorted it shows that all the Kitchener/Waterloo applicants from Oct to Dec have taken the oath.
Can somebody tell me how to correctly sort the sheet by city name? I am doing: selecting column B, then from the menu DATA > Sort range by column B? Is this correct way?
I guess so? I sorted by column B, and I see 2 from Kitchener still waiting for a test in November, 1 from Cambridge, 1 from Waterloo. For October I see 1 waiting from Cambridge, 11 waiting from Kitchener and 4 waiting from Waterloo. In short, a lot of people still waiting.
It is being a while since IP Jan. Finally everything went through smoothly.
Followed is my timeline for your reference. Good luck to all waiting and wish you all the best.
