Just submitted extension. Super nervous

Hello, I just submitted my application to extend my stay with my Canadian girlfriend to meet the common law requirement. Then sponsor under spousal sponsorships if approved. I'm pretty nervous because I read a lot of people saying they have been refused. I don't want to have to live with out my girlfriend and it would upset us if it were to happen. Is extending visitor status to meet common law something that is done a lot?

I paid the fees and submitted everything they asked for as far as proof of financial funds, support letters etc hopefully everything goes smoothly.

I hope so, I read a lot about people's applications being refused. Pretty much I only have 1800 US dollars to support myself but I have support from my girlfriend and her family and they have submitted letters attesting to it. That's the biggest thing that makes me worry is the funds.
