You can retake the test for as many times as you wish, and no, you can use the test result certificate of your choice, if it goes up then great if not then consider it never happened
after my IELTS 1st attempt, to have Australia as a backup plan I gave PTE and i came to know that i got very good scores on PTE but my spellings were horrible(lost marks due to spellings) as per PTE report.
so, when i gave my IELTS 2nd attempt i initially attempted essay followed by letter(its good as it saves time) then after both essay and letter i checked for spellings, trust me i corrected 6 spellings and felt great after rectifying spellings........lastly make sure u dont use idioms or phrases because i wrote a phrase in my 1st attempt letter writing part.
They asked my to explain in a letter to news editor y my neighbour was the best, after all the explanation i wrote....."treat ur neighbour as thyself".
It ruined my score and i got 6.5.
Hope this helps, PM me if u need help.............+1 if it helps.
Thanks for the tip
will check my spell this time and write the second task first. Last time I spent too much time on the easier letter one then I realize the clock is ticking.
Btw is there any trick for pencil writing? My hand writing started getting blurred once the pencil is no longer sharp anymore
@ Alexios07 - Are you sure its calculated on the lowest score ? I have 422 points currently, and my IELTS scores are as follows. L-8.5, R-9, S-7.5, W-7
Does this mean i fell in CLB 9 instead of 10 ?
If we go from CLB 9 to 10, how much difference in points are we looking at ?
I got a L 8,R 8.5, W6.5, S7.5 last time, my CRS score is now 483, which is pretty dangerous
I tried to change the scores of W as 7.0 in the CRS tools and I get a 503!
Already booked a test June 25
hopefully I can push my EE scores up to 500 this time
ITS NOT ABOUT WRITING MODULE, with CLB 9 your score will improve drastically. which is L-8, R-7,W-7,S-7. anything less than this in any module will result in CLB 8

I took the exam and got speaking 6.5,writing 7,reading 8.5 listening 7.5,is it worth re taking the exam since my score in listening is low or re evaluation is better,i an 100 percent sure that i will increase in the speaking if i do the re evaluation

The chance of improving score in reading and listening is low. Either you answered the question correctly or not. Speaking and writing are subjective marks and they are the ones that MIGHT increase.
I'm in the same boat buddy.
I got L-8, R-9,W-6.5, S-7.5 . MY CRS stands as 405 now. If I score W as 7.0 my CRS becomes 450 :O
I'm trying to book a new date but no dates are available till mid July. It's ridiculous how much just 0.5 marks can do in such language exams. It's like everything doesn't matter from your profile but only language. lol.
Go for revaluation (your money will be refunded once u get that .5) instead of retaking (time consuming) IELTS for .5 difference. I personally did the same & got that .5 . Seen many people succeed this way in getting .5 in W & L.
Hi, I gave IELTS on June 25th got 8.5,8.5,7.5,6.5 LRSW. I have seen many cases where people are getting 6.5 band in writing not sure y? My writing was worth atleast 7.5. I have applied for revaluation, hope i get 7 in writing my CRS will increase from 407 to 464. Hope for the best. Did you gave IELTS from IDP or british council.
