Opening New Thread for June 2024 Visitor Visa Applications

A question, a visitor visa application was submitted today. Usually, right after we submit the application (transmitted) we receive a message saying the application was submitted. However, when I submitted the application, I did receive an email stating a new message is received and login to the account to check the message but when I logged into the account, there are no messages and the application is still under "Continue application you haven't submitted" and under action column, it says pending.
Has the process changed recently because usually we upload the applicant's photo and marriage certificate but this time these documents were not asked. Also there was no form for the representative.
The application was submitted a couple of hours ago, should I wait for sometime before I call IRCC?

Just give it more time. It happened to me, too. Submitted last June 1st. Then got updates on June 3rd. I am using the new IRCC portal.

Applied on 3rd June with the new portal and got the "Application was submitted" on June 4th. Nothing after that. How long does it take these days for Biometrics request?

Thanks for the reply. o had gotten the submission acknowledgement the next day along with the biometric request letter.
I am also using the new portal.

I applied for my in-laws using the new portal on June 2, 2024. FIL got acknowledgement on June 4 and MIL got it on June 5. Waiting for biometric request.

I apply visitor visa 11 march and today 7 June no response
My father have Canada visa and he already visit Canada and come back
My travel history is England, Malaysia
But my Canada visitor visa not received 90 + days ago

I applied from Nigeria 1st of feb and did biometric 7th feb..till date its still on processing application..what do I need to do as the conference i intend to attend is in a few days...will I still be able to get the visa after the expiration of the conference

Just an update it took 2 days for the biometrics to be updated in the system.
