I applied for PR on June 13th 2024. My sponsor just got an email titled Permanent Residence Portal (PR Confirmation). This email seems to ask for some basic information (e.g., name, eye colour, height, email, etc.) from me (the principal applicant) in order to have access to the PR Portal. However, I am confused why IRCC sent this email to my sponsor and not to me directly. Is that common?
perhaps you put their email in PA’s information? or your application is linked to their GCkey account?
nevertheless, it shouldn’t be an issue, just reply it with whichever email you want them to create portal case

my application was on June 24, the last updated was back in December when i sent them a travel notification. Is there anybody else applied the end of June on the same page without update? I'm having few job interviews and they keep asking me about my legal working status in Canada which will expire on October, that's why most of the HR person was so worry about my status. Next, i have a really big interview at my dream company, so it's very important if i have an updates on my application, i hope everyone else who applied end of June will hear back from them soon.

Once you have copr you are allowed to work. According to current timeline (assuming no more drama or policy change) you should be having your P1 no later than May --> projecting eCOPR in August or September. Just mention you will be a PR by then.
Hi all, my sponsor is Canadian citizen and still received a P1 email. I checked all files and documents and everything looks fine and she was definitely listed as Canadian citizen. Did anyone else have the same experience and what did you do?

I suggest try to call IRCC. If more than 1 member is getting P1 email in the sponsor's email account, it could mean IRCC system has issue.. again..
Sending the portal email to the wrong account.

A lot of people (possibly everyone) receiving P1 in the past few days have received it at the sponsor's email in addition to the PA's due to an IRCC glitch.

I got the P2 email today. And I have a question regarding the picture we have to upload to the PR portal.
Can I scan a physical picture and upload it to the portal? Or do I have to upload a fully virtual picture (the one London Drugs or Wartmart takes and gives it to you in a USB stick or emails it to you).
When I submitted my PR application back in June, I scanned a physical picture taken at Walmart and then uploaded in my application. The resolution of the scanned picture was not that amazing, but still within the picture quality requirements for the application. This time, however, I am not sure if that same scanned picture will be good enough, especially because it will be used to issue my PR card.
