Need some advise on travelling during the process. I applied online in June and my Background check was updated to completed on Nov 26th and still waiting. I am planning to travel to India for 3 weeks next month. Do I need to update this information to the IRCC? If yes do I just send them the web form with the travel details?
I think there's significant movement recently given many have reported here that they got ceremony invitation, myself included.

I do have worries however, since I have booked travel in mid Feb, I'm afraid I won't be getting my Canadian passport in time. (2-4 weeks for citizenship certificate to arrive, then 10-20 business days for passport. But my travel is 5 weeks after ceremony).
Has anyone tried expedite the citizenship certificate? What's your experience?
It sucks that Canadian citizens can only use Canadian passport to come back to Canada. I have a perfectly good passport from my home country but it becomes useless after becoming a Canadian citizen as they only recognize canadian passport if you're flying back to canada.

I read that you can get urgent Canadian passport in 2 days if travel evidence is shown, also you can land in USA and enter Canada by drive using citizenship certificate if you have USA visa
