This is normal, don’t worry. I’m sure there are many in similar situation like you.

Check the tracker, if your “Background check” wasn’t completed one year ago? cause if it was done before one year, that means it’s now expired and another one will be ordered by ircc, which will add up additional processing times.
If not, then you are all good, it’s just matter of few more days/weeks at best. Good luck!

BG verification was done in June 2021 we are a family of 2. Moreover, we moved twice to a different province while our application in process.
How we can where is our file? I mean which office.

I got a ghost update yesterday. The last update was May 4 2021 after I completed the citizenship test. My GCMS notes stated background is valid till January 11, 2022. Background and test still showing complete. All others are in progress and Oath not started. Now 10 months after citizenship test. Anyone with such experience?

may be background checks are in process again since it's expired on Jan 11 2022.

You are supposed to send the request under the Privacy Act (free), not the Access to Information Act ($5).

Now, this is so frustrating, everyone who I know applied months after me are getting an oath ceremony. Don't know what to do..
what is the phone number to contact for citizenship?
Is there is a way to contact them and get the status? please let me know i don't want to waste more time it been near to two years now

Don’t trouble yourself calling. The calling centre can’t do anything. They will tell you the same updates you can see on the new tracker. I’m in the same situation. Nearing 2 years and close to 1 year since passing citizenship test.

If you have any reason for urgent processing then work with your local MP. Otherwise it’s a long waiting game for few of us unfortunately.

did you move before you get the test invite or afterwards?
If you moved before getting the test invitation then the office that sent you test email is the one processing your application (most likely). check the senders email address, it may look like this IRCC.DNPNTCITScheduling-PlanificationCITPTNRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

Yes, i moved before the online test and then after the test i moved back to the original province but i both moved i changed my address.
I believe it doesn't matter since the application is near to two years we should receive the oath ceremony.

Moving once takes about 3 months and as you said your file is moved again it definitely has accumulated some delay!

note; three months is from my ATIPs and i moved just 500km away from previous IRCC office!
