I'm in Saskatchewan, after 3 months, scheduled week after which is next week.

Hello Everyone, I have applied for citizenship in May 2020 and my application was received on June 2, 2020. i received AOR on October 7, 2020 and status on CIC website showed my application processing started on December 15, 2020, after that there are no updates on my application, anyone else in the same boat? I still have the nagging feeling that the citizenship process has been deliberately slowed down by IRCC on orders of the politicians (to keep the tax paying citizens from running away to the US and instead buying houses in Canada) but I guess better late than never. We don't control the situation anyway.

We should question the politicians to be held accountable as we have paid 600-700 dollars and basic transparency and accountability is something even the Indian govt offers (they are much quicker than the Canadians in these matters as opposed to popular perception).

Just my regular Friday morning rant lol.

My BG only got completed on August 31st after several months of inactivity on my file. I wonder how many more months I have to wait for the test email let alone oath. IRCC (Scarborough office) can do better!! Note that I am a single applicant with no travel history whatsoever since becoming a PR so make me understand what the delay on my application is about. What took the BG so long? Any other June/July applicant in this same situation? **sad**

Also June 2020 applicant. AOR November and started processing in December. Nothing completed. Profile went from April 23 last update to July 7 but no changes where made to profile. (BC applicant)

After having waited for 15 months? That’s totally unacceptable!!!

I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve observed on this forum.. some outliers got test invites few days after BG or even a month after BG is completed. But the majority waits around 2-4 months for test invitation.

You’re not alone June 2020 is the shittiest month we all applied for citizenship grant! Am in the same boat as you and many others are!

Oh I think May has you beat! It seems to be the most brutal month of all! And put Ottawa as the location in the mix and you will never see the light of day...
