June 2020 - Citizenship Application

Hi Raj and All,
I have an update for children. They are part of my application. I could see that the both applications updated as PROHIBITIONS Completed, and remaining all are in progress.

Is it common? Because my application as Decision Made., and waiting for Oath. Now i see update in their applications. Not sure, Do i need to wait for their remaining sections to complete?

When i called support center, they told me that they will get Citizenship as long as mine completed. But i see now this latest update for one section

I thought as i expect oath since Decision Made for me. I do not understand this new update

Any thoughts please. Thank you

They dont mark the child applications same as adults. it doesnt show parallel same status for child. So nothing to worry. Just wait for your oath invite. Its their normal adjudication process steps.

The status updates could be different for minors. I mean, they don't have to take the test (if they are under 18), very young children don't have to go through a background check, their language requirements are not checked as well. So, those sections might not apply to them.

If their prohibitions are set to "Completed", IMO, it should be equivalent to DM.

Your family will likely become citizens on the same day.

I feel Calgary office is the slowest in the country at processing applications at the moment.

Don't forget its twin sister Edmonton, Alberta in general is very slow.

I’m still waiting !! I applied in august !! From what I noticed Calgary is processing March 2020 applications at the moment ! I think so not sure but it is slow !!

Hey, I am from Calgary. June 2020 non-urgent applicant. My wife and I got test invites today. Things are moving along in Calgary.. slowly but surely. Good luck!

My BG check has been updated to “Completed” today, June 8, 2021. Waiting on test invite now..

Great! Even my BG got updated to completed recently. I hope to receive test invite soon.

Saskatoon might be the slowest at the moment. I saw you completed your test. I was happy when I completed mine and now, I have been waiting for over 2 months now after I passed the test.

Saskatoon office has been notorious for processing applications very slowly. Applied in early June 2020 and my BG only completed couple of weeks ago. let forget about test.
