The update was not done by me but someone else who has access to the spreadsheet..I have corrected it. As I said, I added the FP request to the sheet yesterday.

I was expected my wife to receive one, she received one during our PR applications and her name isn't popular but she used my last name (marriage name) on her passport when we enter Canada in 2016 and her own last name when we first enter Canada in 2012 and on her all others immigration documents. I believe they want to know that they are dealing with the same person and establish her identity properly then they can be sure that the criminality checks are done properly. I didn't receive any FP and according to my MP, I have passed criminality and security checks and I am test ready. FP isn't mandatory.

Hi, could the spreadsheet be updated for me, that FP were requested April 27th and done May 6th? We are going to do them tomorrow.

Not everyone gets a FP request, but it's not unusual. It's part of their background check on you, maybe you have a common name and they want to verify your identity, for example.

I got mine in 30 days. Most of them are in 30 days, unless otherwise sometime it may take longer.

Thank you for your reply, could you let me know if your file was transferred to local office once it went into process or before that? I received mine today and they read mine was transferred to local office 2 months after it went into process!
