I read somewhere that if the application is in process then all the documents are in order and CIC doesn't need anything from the applicant. Is this true or in process means that they have now starting looking at the application and would let the applicant know if they would need any additional documents

I think "In process" means that your local office has started reviewing your application which also includes initiating different checks like CBSA, CRA, criminal and background checks etc.

Spot on. If you request GCM notes at the later stage. You will find all the CRA, CBSA, Criminal, background, language and knowledge test input entered by local office. Sydney office just put initial and generic info based on the info provided in the application.

It’s odd that neither my wife or myself have gotten an email at least saying “log in to your account”. Just found out about it, as I log in every other week or so.
