It can take a while to hear back about the biometrics, we paid 30th April and only got the actual biometrics request on 21st June. So nothing to worry about, just need to wait!

If she has never given biometrics for any canadian visa which is assume is the case, she WILL BE required to give biometrics. when needed, you will be notified via email and GCKey update.

My wife did her Biometrics for her visitor visa in this year. That means she does not required for the spouce sponsor ship. I sent her documents in june 3.

Biometrics for visit visa and PR are done separately, don't understand why but that's how it is. You wife will be asked to give biometrics.
