Saw a ghost update today! Fingers crossed!

MEP: July 23
Raised a webform after completion of 6 month. Received a reply 2 weeks later:
- The responsible office verified if your application meets the eligibility requirements.
- The security background verification has not been initiated.
- The criminal background verification is in process.
In the meantime applied for a BOWP. Submitted biometrics for a work permit some time in Jan.
Last week submitted additional document to EE profile - a new contract for the next year.
Received a GU Feb 3.

I am June AOR, want to share my "complicated" case

CEC inland
AOR Jun.23rd,2019
MEP July.29th,2019
No update for 6 month

Raised web form in Dec.23rd/2019 and was informed a decision was made
Called on Jan.6th/2020 and was informed file approved back in July.30th,2019
Told me 2 PPR emails sent (1 in July and 1 in Oct) but I received nothing
Called twice between then and now and informed email not sent yet
Called today again and said email not resent yet, asked me to raise web form.
Still waiting for PPR email up till today

Thought I might give you guys an update.
Received PPR email today through my work email.
Web form replied to me saying they sent me one to my gmail as well but it was not there..
so I guess gmail sucks for the PPR email but I did get it through work email!!

Update ----
Called IRCC today, they told me that my profile is still being processed in Ottawa Visa center, and I asked about my eligibility status and she said it was met and they are processing/verifying other things. She told me to call back after 1 month to check on my status if I dont hear from them by then.

Anybody in same boat with Ottawa service center?

Got my PPR request email yesterday (Feb 3). No ghost updates prior to the email.

Medicals: July 30
Bio-metrics: Aug 13th
GU - Jan 27th
PPR Mail - Jan 28th
Application status Changed to Approved - Feb 3rd

Yes, normally IRCC refunds automatically, but the applicant can withdraw the application and get the refund.

Got it in gmail even though submitted a work email.

if you can pay then do so and send them a web form. I hate the Accra office, being waiting since June 14th,they requested pnp certificate and since then all i get are generic reply.
