in my background check it was " we are processing your background check we will sent a message if we need more information" in 12 aug the message had change to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"


my timeline was 4months it change today to 18 weeks. i call cic last week my application is in ottawa.

What all did you ask CIC and what were their responses. I am June 06 AOR and planning to call them next week.

Also please tell me what information do I need to have for calling. Application reference number ?

i asked them for the status of my application and the visa office , the lady told me that my application is in ottawa not special thing yet so i supposed they watting for an officer to take it.

for informations you need the numb of your application, name, your phone numb, adress, email, birthday. the agent check the informations and after that you can ask him whereever you want.

just wait cauz the call take 20 to 30 min don't forget the jet lag between canada and your country.

RCMP request- August 02,2019

RCMP updated: August 21,2019

After that no update

Only one thing is bothering me that I Have 1 and half year foreign experience , If it will effect processing time of my file in any way ? Coz i heard having foreign experience delay the processing of file

One of my friend she submitted her file 20 days before i submitted my file n she got PPR this week but she had only Canadian Experience no any foreign experience

Kindly help in regard to this

Congratulations!! Did you have all the documents available such as valid job offer letter with roles & responsibilities on letterhead? I did not have it, but got it from my manager on a plain paper and notarized it, since my company does not support PR. I am asking this to see if the processing would be delayed due to this reason that documents are not straight forward as per the requirement.
