A lot of people ask this question, and I am aware of at least 2 people who traveled during the application process without much issue. That being said, you can be denied entry, and all of this would have been for nothing. There is ALWAYS a possibility that this could happened, and therefore many consultants will advise you to postpone your travel until after you receive your PR card. My question is, is a short vacation worth the risk of having to go back to square one? Are you a June applicant? Home stretch brother, wait a couple months and then there is no worry.
I'm an June inland applicant. I left the country last week for about 10 days and returned with no problems.
I have an open work permit and a valid visa. At the port of entry I was asked to show my Work permit and that was it .

I traveled twice. The first time i stayed for over a month and the second time was for a few days. Once you have VALID travel documents they have no reason to deny you entry. I have a multiple entry visa and q work permit. If you don't have any of these then there's no way you will be allowed back into the country. My partner works at the airport and asked several officers because i was paranoid based on what i see in this forum.
My ecas shows DM on PR side as at may 12th.
i have not received any kind of notification regarding the DM.
Last update was AIP and i had additional doc request.
Requested Docs were sent and 2 days later i saw DM.
I called CIC today but the agent only said they are finalizing the application and i have to wait for the decision letter within 8 weeks. she said she does not have any more info buteverythinglooks good.
Just wondering why ecas says DM and the agent says "finalizing"
Does anyone have an idea about this pls?
My also is in Vancouver hub (weird because I live in Toronto). I’m June 11 applicant.
SA and AIP received on May 10. But still waiting for medical pass (I’m pregnant and I just did my x-ray last Saturday).
