We're still waiting too (family 2), application received June 25th, AOR August 22nd, In Process September 11th. Tried 11 times to contact CIC to find out what date they're up to for Invite to Take Test - no agents to take call. The last time I called before AOR the agent was able to tell me exactly what date they were up to, so to give you an accurate idea of how long ours would take.
Update! I'm currently on phone hold and will find out the timeline and let everyone know.
After being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that they do not have specific information about the date they're currently up to for the 'Invite to Take Test" part of the process. They only knew specific dates for the AOR and overall process which is still 12 months.
Got my oath letter yesterday. Strangely they said my oath is going to be in Mississauga office. My file has been at the Scarborough office it went to in process, I even sent all my documents and did my test in Scarborough. I guess anything is possible.
Please up line 47

I used the book and just did the practise test questions online. The book information is enough for you to pass. The test is not long like 20 question multiple choice or true/ false.
I say the test itself would take about half hour but your are allowed 1 hour to complete it I believe.
But you may have to wait after the test to verify documents and meet with a case worker. This may take some time and is dependent on may factors. So be prepare to be there for a couple hours in case.
Hi dear all members,
This is najabad 14 Ottawa applicant, waiting for oath since 10Jan,2019. Today I called CIC agent told me that we sent you oath invite on February 28,2019 I told him that I did not receive any crospondence from cic side, he don’t you worry if you not receive that letter you should go to your oath ceremony that is on 15 March.
So anybody experience the same problem? Any body attend oath ceremony without oath invitation? Cic agent just send me an email about which documents I have to carry for oath and congrats email mention his name and employee number. He said attend oath ceremony and ask reception about you name and show him to this email. Please advise
