Hi anyone has given test at Ottawa? Can we bring our 4 year with us as we have no arrangement possible for her? She can stay in waiting by her own during our exam (30mins) comfortably.
How long the total process take?

I took my test in Ottawa a couple weeks ago. The Test Invitation email very clearly states that child care should be arranged, as only those listed are allowed in the test room. They're pretty by the book with the rules during the entire thing, so I don't think they would be likely to let a child in the test room. Sorry for the bad news, but better to know beforehand!

I think I was in and out within 1.5 hours, which was very quick. I got called for my interview towards the beginning and it didn't take long. But I'm sure others were there 2.5 hours or more perhaps.

Hi all,
I was filling the application form for citizenship but stuck at question 11. I am currently employed full time from the last 1.5 years and I am enrolled in a online course from a local college in Canada and pursuing diploma from the last six months. My question is what should I select with regards to question 11. Should I select "I was in school" because I am not able to provide the information regarding my studies in the next column as I am not able to overlap my work history at the sometime.

You can select both school and work. An overlap would not be a concern. The concern will be a gap in the eligibility period.

I feel you. I booked my holidays in August for mid- December to mid January. I am still waiting for the test invite and haven't heard anything. I'm in Vancouver though but as the days pass I'm getting more nervous we'll have to take it during those days.

I would suggest waiting if possible or book it keeping in mind you might have to reschedule the test or pay to change flight dates.
