Hi every 1. My father have submitted application for canadian citizenship in may 2018 (paper based). Till date he have not received any reply from their side and no data is updated on cic website regarding checking of online status. How much time they will require to reply or when online status will be available. He is currently in quebec.

Hi, I have a question. I submitted my citizenship application last June 4 (received June 8) but no AOR yet. I renewed my passport a few days prior and I just received my new passport with my updated name (I did a legal name change prior to submitting my application and included the necessary documents with the application) and of course validity date and passport number. Do I need to update (or how do I update) CIC with the change in passport? Thanks.

If you are not comfortable without assistance, maybe consider an immigration consultant to help you!

Seems Acknowledgment of Receipt (AoR) is taking 50-60 days at this point (here is the May spreadsheet for reference https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...kTeM2_AofgT_8b4uTJyBh9pXdg/edit#gid=270862106)

You may want to connect with other May applicants and/or add you father's information to that sheet there is a thread specifically for May applications (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...ay-2018-citizenship-applicants.557978/page-23)
