paper generally takes 19 months. what i have learned from this ordeal is if you make an EE application after you pass eligibility for paper application it does not quite help as they do one background check for one applicant.

For all October ip2 people over here.

One of my friend had eligibility as recommended passed when he received gcms notes in November. What is strange is that he received his recent notes and his eligibility changed from recommended passed to review required. His file was sent to officer for review and he had objection on POF funds which changed his eligibility status.

On calls, he was always told his eligibility is met.

It’s good that he ordered notes again and came to know why there is so much delay after moving to ip2 in October. I would suggest all October ip2 guys to order notes as there might be some problem with your application.

The file gets reviews multiple times at different stages of the application and at each stage, it is at the discretion of the officer to review a document or even reject the file. I know it is very uncommon, but it is not entirely impossible. One such case is that after eligibility, criminality, and security is passed, the officer will review everything one more time before issuing ppr. The reason is to make sure that everything is in order.

this morning i was checking the status of my paper application and it changed from "in progress" to "decision made". still not sure what is the decision, i will call ircc call center to verify that. but it seems like they have approved my paper application and stopped processing EE.

June tracker in Immitracker has reached 80% completion. What this could mean is that, whoever is yet to get PPR, are definitely part of the 20%.

@legalfalcon - Can you please confirm if CIC only focuses on completing the 80% applications in 6 months and they leave the rest lethargically? Meaning, there is no expected turnaround time for the unfortunate minority?

BTW, I am a secrete admirer of all the help you provide on this forum.

The 80% is the average number of applications processed within 6 months. Also, the 6 months processing time starts when the application meets R10, and not the AoR date. The r10 date is appx. 2-4 weeks after the AoR date.

Most applications are delayed due to administrative issues as no one works on them, or security (things are improving after the introduction of biometrics).
