By the way, I just realised Sydney probably used the wrong template to send my PPR. I am single applicant; however, PPR started with "the application processing for your overseas dependent(s) for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete"......
So my strategy is inform LVO via webform that this is probably the wrong format and that I will send all required documents anyway.
Any advice? Should I wait until they instead send me PPR in correct template?

Format is immaterial. Don’t expect perfection from IRCC. I don’t see any need to raise CSE for this.

@tobs can you check in your gcms notes if you see PreVU verified somewhere. My theory is that’s the point when security gets completed. I don’t see that in my gcms as I jad ordered before approval. Curious to know if you see in your notes and if yes when was it done.

What kind of additional verifications are they talking about?
Did you order gcms notes? Do they mean security screening by additional verification?

I have seen people getting reply as waiting in queue to be reviewed by officer but this is something different.

That’s a sign your security was already done by that time. If some officer picked your file then you would have received PPR.

My theory is that PreVU verified is for applications transferred from CIO to another office for processing after initial eligibility checks. My PreVU Verified coincides with the date my application was received at Ottawa.

I don't really know what the delay reason may be as every time we call them they don't give any clarifications. I ordered notes in the beginning of Jan and still waiting, is there any way to get some additional info? Thank you

I can also be of help here - we have PreVu verified on the 1st of August by Ottawa. Security is still not started.

It's more common than you would imagine. I have seen plenty of cases like this. There is nothing to worry as such. The analyst has clearly defined what is the issue as per him in your documentation. You need to get an updated letter which has more detailed job duties and upload it ASAP. The next time Visa officer picks your file and he has the new documentation in file he will most likely approve your case. So take immediate action.

Our PreVu was verified on the 1st of August, whilst Ottawa received the file on the 26th of July. So fits well with your theory

Sorry for barging in. I too have PreVU on my GCMS generated 1 month before I entered IP2 officially.

Does that make any sense?
