Hi...i mailed ottawa asking abt the status of my file..aor 7 june..got the following reply.

Good day,

Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.

Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Any comments..what this mail actually means.

Not only you @Gurpreet1112 even we have got the exact response.

I believe it is the same response @Nishika22 also got.

As cruel as it might sound, we are not alone in this battle. There are many folks who are waiting and let's keep waiting.

June Family,

So finally the time has come when I get to announce ... I have just received my PPR in my account. I just got a message in my email that I have a new message in my account. When I checked it was the Passport Request note.

This has been a one hell of a wait and really tough journey for me. May be one day I will write about other things as well. But for now I'm more relieved than happy. Saying that this wait has been tough is an understatement and I think only the folks waiting till now can really appreciate how it feels.

My sincere thanks and gratitude to each and everyone of you who have given me your best wishes and blessings.

My sincere thanks to folks who have sent me PMs just to cheer me up and keep me going (some who never post here and have an account just to wish me luck). No amount of thanks can ever repay for a gesture like that. I may have done something right here that some people feel that way for me.

I hope this excruciating wait ends for you all. I really pray for that. I know how it feels.

Yes send an email to NDVO if you know that your file is approved. And do it at earliest before they stop acting on such requests. Send now before working day starts at NDVO.

I had sent an email to NDVO last Thursday (2nd Jan) for PPR email but have not received any replies from them yet. An auto generated reply mentioned that they take approx 15 days to reply. So I am bit confused as to whether I should send out another follow up email or just wait.

Most people with approved files have received reply (PPR) from them within 1-3 days. They don't reply to files which are not approved. They never replied to my email.

What is the average validity of COPR? I mean within how many months we are expected to land once we receive the COPR.

Haven't received COPR so you can choose to ignore my answer.
But COPR is valid to the

• date of expiry of your or dependent's medical (which is 1 year from date of medical)
  
• or your or dependents Passport expiry date

whichever is earliest of above two
