Hi Guys,

So my hubby called CIC and lady wasn't very happy or cooperative, she said that they are working on BG and there i no more information.how long BG goes on?we are inland applicants and we passed medicals on June 22 and Provided rcmp report on July 4th....

Calling them really is a hit-or-miss - some are super helpful, some refuse to give any information.

Calling them really is a hit-or-miss - some are super helpful, some refuse to give any information.

I called them few weeks ago lady was so nice, and said they are working on application, they have everything needed and she said rest assure application is taking its own path, when i tried to inquire in which stage we are she said she cant release such a info as hubby is primary applicant, so thats the reason he called, but to be honest but this time agent was wtf you bother us?we are doing background check.

haha yea, I do read about this issue a lot. Some agents refuse to give any information if your application hasn't crossed the 6 month mark yet. I would advise just calling again another day and try again with them.

But most of the people already got ppr or

Friends with AOR in first or second week of June, if your application has not shown any updates after MEP stage and if you are calling IRCC please do ask which Visa office your file is in. My AOR is 19th June and Visa office is Montreal. And it seems Montreal has not even started eligibility review for June applicants. My conclusion may be biased. But I want to see if anyone with June AOR and Montreal office who has eligibility status as passed. he's asking about CIO though - Central Intake Office. as far as I know, Sydney has the only CIO.

So I rang today after almost 2 weeks - no movement at all since last call. My application is still in Ottawa with no BG or criminality check started. Who said Ottawa is fast...seems like lazy bunch to me or at least my officer! Anyhow, looking at this forum, there are plenty others in the same situation of long painful ride (rather than express journey of others). Good luck and have a nice weekend.

Ottawa seems fast(er) since most people who have posted their PPR experience here seem to be from Ottawa office. But I'm sure there are cases like yours too from same office. Also it seems like your eligibility review has been done and you're waiting at BG check stage. My visa office is Montreal and they have not even begun eligibility review (AOR 19th June). Does Ottawa seem a bit faster now . Unfortunately we can't do much but wait, hope and pray. Wish you all the best and hopefully you get PPR soon.

Mine for 5th June and yet BG not started.

same as mine! Stuck in IP1. RPRF requested & paid: July 10th, 2018. My application is being processed in Ottawa. No idea why some cases are processed too slow!
