It looks like you are in IP2. Have you tried calling CIC ?

I just talked to them. they were not able to give me any information. the lady said my file didnt have any information about my "eligibility review" as well as the stage of my "background check" - criminal,security,etc. Also she mentioned my application was still in the main office and we haven't been assigned a visa office yet. is this not abnormal? I am starting to get paranoid now!!

so here is how it goes.. there is a user called Vivu.. he has been US through out and had all the things... his came like a week later than mine

now guys.. CTC Ottawa is fast.. last night .. I dropped a mail for extension of passport deadline. and today in less than a day I have reply saying its granted

Ok... I am inland applying from Canada. Not sure if this makes a difference in our application. But yeah, the agent did told me my criminal check is now in progress and eligibility not started. Weird...

After months of waiting, it's so good to see the application status as "Approved" finally.
I will be soft landing in a couple of weeks.

Here's my timeline once more...
FSW-Outland
Indian citizen and a resident of USA
PCC: India, UK and USA; Dependents: 2
AOR: Jun 02
IP1: Jun 14
IP2: Jun 28
PPR: Jul 24
Passport sent: Jul 25
Application approved: Aug 01

Does any one know the process of getting passport details updated in case PPR has not been issued yet. My passport is expiring in Feb 2019. While reading threads on GCMS notes I saw that they do a check of whether passport has more than 6 months validity or not. So by end of August 2018 my passport will have validity less than 6 months. I can apply for new passport in Indian consulate here. But will it matter if I change my passport details in my application?
Also how to update those details and provide new passport copies?

Actually IRCC is predictable. Their Website clearly states that their standard after January 2015 is to process 80% of applications in 6 months or less.
I know waiting sucks, but every application is different. All I can say is to be patient and hope for the best!
