Ghost Update: March 19, 2019
CSE sent: March 21, 2019
Ghost Update 2: March 21, 2019 - Medical Results changed back from N/A to You Passed Medical.

I am very confused, i sent a CSE to Ircc because until IP2 it was dead silence. Then i sent CSE yesterday asking for a status update since i am 1 week short of 10 months since AOR and i advised them my medical will expire in 7 weeks time, do you have any idea why my medical results changed back to You Passed after sending the CSE the same day? I live outside Canada.

Looks like your medicals have been extended. Not sure. I had 12 weeks for medical expiry and still got a request to do re medical (also my status changed from passed to you don't need a medical exam) .Since your went back to passed, looks like it is extended . You can contact cic to confirm .

And is it normal that it’s almost been an year and the background checks have still not started ?
I had lost all hopes but someone told me that if they had to reject our file they would’ve done it long back within the 1st few months of filing the papers.

Did you try calling cic to check the stays for eligibility, Criminality and security ? Also did you order gcms by any chance ?

I think, hope, and believe, this late in the game we are past a refusal, unless you are lying or misrepresenting. Or unless you got selected for additional security.

In my case they even asked for Proof of Criminal Record, which comes after they start processing.

Trust me, Ive been in Canada since 2012, this is how fast (slow) Canadian government works. I got my study permit the day before my flight, and my work permit a day before my student visa expired..

Stay patient my friends. It will come soon! I was worried sick about it once it past 6 months but now ive almost forgotten about it on some days.

It's got to be all that legal Canadian weed. I bet they're all sitting around in their IRCC offices completely blazed, giggling randomly at nothing in particular and occasionally getting up to go to the fridge. This is the real reason for the delays, you heard it here first people.
