what is cbsa note?
I only know GCMS/ATIP note
Canada Border Services Agency is an agency that IRCC goes to in case of Security Screening. So if your GCMS shows you are in SS, you will know what all they are searching by ordering CBSA Notes.
cic call center agent told me that I am still in background checking, is that SS?
Hi macaly7,
congratulations, could you explain me/us what you did? you sent an email to somebody?
Thanks!
@macaly7 Congratulations! Richly deserved PPR, after putting all that data together and helping all of us with our own PPR journey

Also - I second
@javier500 in asking the million dollar question

Who did you send an email to? And if CIO, was it your primary office? Ottawa is my primary office, while CIO is my secondary office....Dunno if it will work in my case!

Yes. She emailed that ID up there. Only email them if you've got confirmation that your application is approved, else you'll be spamming them and reducing the chances of an approved application getting a response.
(I hope you understand the intention behind what I'm saying)
machine learning engineer - pretty much data science but i am more involved in designing the model and make it reproducible.
No wonder hahaha

Omg guys ! I just got my PPR!!!!!
@Tazly55 is trying to take all the credit from
@tobs for suggesting to email cio this morning.
You're super welcome guys. I'm always scouting the forum and asking people questions looking for ways to help everyone. I'm really glad this worked.

no we cannot be certain about that. security is a part of background check.

Not particularly

BGC is either eligibility, criminality or security. You should have been more specific in your question. When next you call ask specifically about the status of those 3 things.

Totally, and I am one of those who was told that my application was approved leading to a ghost update.

Hi
@tobs,
my secondary office (checking my notes) is Centralized Intake Office. An agent told me last week that my application was approved on January 2nd. I already sent an email to Ottawa ('
CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca') asking for the ppr letter... No answer yet and, of course, no PPR yet... I do not know if it is a good idea to send an email again to CIO or not... what do you think?
Thanks for the help

Raise a CSE as well.
Guys , I need some help
I submitted EE application on May 23rd 2018 and received AOR on the same day. My medical was passed and I received RPRF request on June 10th. I paid the fees and haven't heard from CIC. I requested for GCMS notes and understood that a review was raised because I din't provide bank document as per the standard and my job duties was missing for one company (although I have experience of over 5 years without the job role which was missing) . I provided the documents along with LOE as to why I cannot provide the job duties as my employer is not providing the same. I submitted the document in November and till date, I haven't heard back from CIC. I have already requested for second set of GCMS notes.
Any help is greatly appreciated

What's your AOR?
There's a possibility that you won't get any response if you're within the 6 months timeline. But if you've passed the 6 months timeline, send CIO and email with something along the lines of "Approved Application beyond 6 months processing timeline awaiting PPR"

Review required is fine but check your notes and see if the recalculated points are still above the CRS cut off for your ITA round. Based on what you have written here it should be but confirm that. In case your revised score was still greater than the cut off there is nothing to worry as such but when visa officer will pick your file again is difficult to tell. As you May have seen here and on other threads there are quite a few in similar situation with no real way of nudging visa officers to take action.
