My AOR is 25th June, MEP & IP1 - 11th July, IP2- 27th October. Criminality completed and security checks were yet to began in my GCMS. However, got this reply from CPC Ottawa today morning. Please let me know this internal processing referes to?


Dear Client,

Please be informed that we are awaiting the results of some internal processing prior to the finalization of your application. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times. At this time, there is nothing that is required on your part and Security Check is still pending. Your continued patience is greatly appreciated.

It's actually good news. Shows that the delay is on their end because processing times are SLOWER not because of any issue with your application. Once they are able to start the security checks you'll see some progress.

Your security is blank. You may need to do some other checks to ensure you're not in security screening. Like checking security in activities 1 to 5. @Jaywalker what are those checks again?

In this case the security has started and they redact everything related to security and SS. If Activities 1-4 or 1-5 are redacted and the next entry is not redacted and shows security. This generally means activity 1-4 or 1-5 were Security Screening and they have blanked that out. In CBSA notes ( which is exactly the same as GCMS) with nothing redacted- one can easily find out SS.

Whats the status of your Activity 8-10 - are they also blanked out? Did you apply with your spouse as well - I think you are most likely in SS along with your spouse.

Not really. My spouse has frequent travel in 2014-2015. That could be reason, I guess.

I talked to an agent again yesterday and explained my situation. after seeing my application approved in Nov; she said that i should contact to CIO for the delay as there is nothing she can do except keeping a note on my file. She also mentioned that keeping a note WON'T TRIGGER ANYTHING and officers won't see this unless they start working with my file so basically its pretty useless.
after that i sent mail to both CPC Ottawa and NDVO and waiting for the miracle to happen

when did you get to know about your application approval?
is this the very first time that you email these VOs about your approved application?
