Seems to me that neither 6233 nor 6223 are in the NOC list. check out this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
I think CIC is right to reject your application. Does seem to be a typo that cause the rejection but because your occupation is not in the list.
It is indeed hard to believe how did the lawyer let you file your application when he was supposed to know that your occupation is not eligible for submittion!!
In your link I can't find it. But at this page
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Welcome.aspx
on National Occupational Classification 2006
When I type merchandiser code 6233 came up. And when I type sales code 6411 came up.
As I told you on my application next to code 6411 there's memo valid.
This NOC 2006 is not invalid anymore?
But actually on your link my occupation is not listed, the one closest seems to be 1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management. So any sales, marketing related jobs should be applied with code 1122? Already reached cap.
To apply for FSW1, ur profession must fall within the eligible 29 occupations. Not all NOCs on the site u mentioned are eligible. As u rightly said 1122 would have fitted perfectly, but unfortunately it's capped....Mandie

Dear again u'll hire the same lawyer??? as he made a blunder, wasted ur time & money, I suggest u should do it by yourself as everything is in BLACK & WHITE on CIC website, u can take help from people on this forum too, its a nice place with full of nice & cooperative people, everybody will help u & if u follow the guideline u'll find everything easy. ;D. Yes. Now I don't trust him. Here U.S., alsmot everybody hire lawyer for working visa and green card. So I assumed application prepared by lawyer should be stronger than I do by myself. But looks like it was wrong idea. Since I already paid money, he has to do his job at least money worth. If he ask me additional money, I'll terminate the relationship.
merciguerrero, yeah this will be the best way to approach brandonyac's situation, just send your transcript of records (notarized copies) and have the original (in a sealed envelope, if possible) if CEM ask for it later. thanks!
