Same thing happened with me yesterday but I thought it’s error because when I did not click on it and my phone turned off and then again login then there is nothing profile/update , it was submitted shows same it was usually.

I don't know what that is, but definitely makes the heart beat faster lol. When you see there's an update. It's gonna two months now and yet there's nothing. I have started my online classes and it's killing me.

My profile updated this msg popped up and that's when I noticed that my eligibility review started.
When there's profile updation mostly it's update about eligibility or background check status. When there's written new message then it's about letter from ircc.

Ghost update can be an indication for anything such security check passed or info sharing complete which we cannot see in our Gckey account (only can know through GCMS notes).

But anyways it shows that your application is in process. And who knows if this ghost update was the entry of decision by VO

I really hope so. It's been killing me since a long time now lol.

I second you on this. I'm turning from being optimistic to being tired of waiting and exhausted at this point. This degree of delay is unbearable and IRCC has literally normalised it at this point.

This waiting duration has become almost the same as the duration that we will spend in Canada. Students wait for 1 year to get 1 year of study permit

And that’s ridiculous and not fair at all. According to IRCC, students are just after immigration but they are not. I know how much I’ll be missing out on experience and quality of education and it bums me out.
