Totally normal. But if you want them to do the biometric together, since your mom has only 30 days to do so, raise a webform. It might speed things up.

Even though Parent 2 was the primary applicant, they didn’t receive the request yet. Should I be concerned?

Parent 1 is waiting for Parent 2 to receive Biometrics Request so they can give the biometrics together (as it’s far in another city). How long should they wait?

Yes it is very common with most of the group applications these days

got rejected -june 15(reason wont come back )
2nd application (same application no change)-july 1st

Hi I am applying for my parents visitor Visa. I am in Canada, and a canadian citizen. Parents are in Delhi, India. Their current visitor visa expires in Oct 2024. they have previous travel history to canada
1.Using the new portal (https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en), do i need to still upload IMM 5484 (doc checklist), IMM 5257 (TRV Visa application), and IMM 5707 (family info form)
2. What to answer in the ques "Do you have valid identity document" ?
3. Is 7000 CAD a good amount for duration of stay for 6 months, per person?

Processing time will be from the applicants country of current residence.
