Thank you @Cayman. My language skills and physical presence was marked completed yesterday November 21, 2024. The prohibitions and background check is still in progress.

I noticed that my child's application status still shows In Progress and has no update. Is this normal? is it because he's a minor and dependent on the main applicant? Please share your experience.

There has been no update since the test was completed on August 17 for me and September 14 for my spouse. Is anyone else in the same boat? Applied in Edmonton, how do I know the processing office handling our files?
Yup. There are a few who’ve not had any updates since the test completion in Sep. I think that’s fine. Based on different forums I noticed that they’ve been working through applications monthwise. I think most of the July applicants will be done by Dec or maybe Jan considering the holiday season. Lately, there’s been an increase in ppl getting updates so they must be working through LPP & Oaths for July candidates.

I have a similar situation for my child (applied in June). Someone on this forum told me it is normal and will be updated only when the parent's oath ceremony is scheduled. My LPP is still in progress. Congrats on getting Language & Physical presence completed.

Language and Physical Presence updated today. Dated 4th Nov on tracker.

Updating here.
FP - received - November 19th - Update on Tracker on November 22nd.

Background and Prohibitions are still pending. I better buckle up. Seems like i might be stuck in security as they didn't get updated the day after my FP were received. :(

No, look at the spreadsheet, and pls don’t lose hope ;) lot of people get updates several days after ircc get the fingerprints.

Anyone else got call from Citizenship Canada on a private number, asking you what were you doing in Canada after moving here, where did you learn English etc.,

Agreed, they never call you. Only invite for in-person chat or additional document request.

This is certainly not IRCC’s style of communication.

I have asked for an interview but prohibition, language skills and physical presence haven't been completed. What is that mean? It's in the next month.

That's good news for you :) as I've seen here in the forum, most of the times, after the interview, everything turns green in couple of days, hopefully this will be the case for you too, good luck

I had the same scenario. Called for interview LPP not updated even after the interview. But most who go through interviews get theirs updated fairly quickly around 2 days. Good luck!

Congratulations! Could you please confirm if you opted for paper certificate or e-certificate in your application?

@hssrp Could you please advise if you know how in-person or virtual ceremony are assigned to applicants? Is it dependent on the fact what type of citizenship certificate was opted in the application?
In-person or virtual ceremonies are randomly assigned based on which one is available. It does not depend upon the type of certificate selected in the application.

Update: November 21, Language and Physical presence completed. Background and prohibitons are still pending.
We submitted fingerprints on November 14, yesterday I called RCMP, and they sent me a verification e-mail, that they already sent the document to Vancouver ircc on November 19. But stucked at the post office due to the strike..
if they receive the fingerprints, should I except them to update the background and prohibitons together? Or is it a bad sign that the prohibitons did not complete?
They will update the prohibitions after the background is completed.
