Hello, I just received fingerprinting request. Any idea of the process and the cost of it?

HI, how much time do we have to select a test date once it shows up in the tracker? It doesn't show for me yet. But I am planning a week-long vacation soon and I dont want to carry my laptop there.

The cost varies based on the private center you get it done from, usually between 60-90 CAD.
You can either do it at RCMP (if your city's RCMP/local police does that) or at an RCMP accredited fingerprint center. You can use the below link to find the nearest such center.

https://rcmp.ca/en/criminal-records...vate-fingerprinting-companies-accredited-rcmp

The email will have detailed instructions but basically you would need a printed copy of the letter you get from IRCC in email and 2 pieces of ID.

The test window will generally start anytime after 3-7 days from the time it shows up on the tracker and they will give you a window of 30 days to complete the test from the test window start date.

You can give the test anytime 24x7 within the test window for up to 3 times. There is no booking process, you just start the test whenever you are ready within the test window.

Background verification completed on August 16th but the update showed up today!
Congratulations, spreadsheet updated.
Yes, the tracker has a delay of 2 business days so updates from Friday show up on the tracker on Tuesday.

Added to the spreadsheet, the first 6-8 weeks are mostly silent for most of the applications, so it is normal.
