No trick. Just used the application ID and UCI to register. It was giving me an error as well yesterday.

In the email containing the AOR,I think there is a link to track your application but you have to give it few days after receiving the AOR to be able to track it.
Some people in this forum have reported that there were not able to track for some time after receiving the AOR
