Why was your application returned the first time?

Sorry for the delay. It was returned due to an inability to verify my temporary resident time as part of my physical residence calculation. It took a while to make that decision--I submitted the first application in Sep 2021, and got the red letter in June 2023. Thankfully, I got a follow-up email saying to re-apply if I have enough days and mark it urgent for priority processing. Fingers crossed it won't take nearly two years just to get a decision made.
