Anyone out here applied through the old (GC key) and went ahead made another application through the new portal? Apparently, the money gets refunded for the previous application made on the old portal which has been witnessed by few applicants ...
Not sure if it has any impact on the processing time.

Paid biometric fee: August 18
No update since then
The request letter said that once the fees is paid, instructions will be sent on how to submit biometrics. However, I haven't received any update so far.
I applied on behalf of my parents who have visited Canada and US in the last 10 years (CAN+) and their biometrics should still be valid but they're being asked to give biometrics again.
Processing times depends where you live. No such thing as sponsoring for a TRV. She provides a letter of invitation. You provide funds, travel history, ties to home country etc.

Yeah I thought the same. A few July applications are getting approvals or refusals from what I've seen in the Facebook groups and the forum... But I'm from July 23rd and nothing yet...

I have submitted visitor visa application July 11th
Biometrics submitted July 12th
still showing in progress for me( 'we are processing your background check'). I have applied from Egypt and at the time of submission the processing tool said that time is 97 days however it has now reached 412 days can anyone shed some light as to which number is more applicable to my case?
also did anyone also submit from Egypt around the same time how is it going for you ?
I applied for my mother’s visitor visa on July 17, 2022. I received a refusal yesterday, however I did not receive correspondence refusal letter in my account . I assumed you always get the generic refusal letter or something, but we did not receive anything. Had that happened to anyone else?
Yes same thing happened to me too. My application was refused on 15the sept, with it I received a second BVl dated 15th sept. I had received on 13th sept as well when my eligibility review had started .
