Strangely, IRCC worked so fast to conclude with my PR Card. I received the renewed card only in 70 days. Not bad!
With Travel document already 3 months send as urgent - still expecting. So, IRCC works strangely
Hi, I have same questions as you have for my parents, at first I thought it would be faster and some of the requirements should be marked completed automatically since they do not apply to senior applicants, unfortunately not from what I have seen so far. It might actually take longer due to maybe priorities for younger applicant. (My observation only)

Ah a stuck background check is a tough situation and a common reason for delays. IRCC might be stuck waiting for a response from third parties. There might be also be issues with your name check that require further investigation. The only thing you can really do is to wait and follow up every couple months with calls/webforms.
I have cleared the background check. I haven't ordered GCMS notes yet as I'm not convinced that it does anything to speed up the application. When I did with the my PR application it just showed me it was still in "the pile" and it took months more to get completed...

Many people, myself included, have seen movement shortly after ordering GCMS notes, so it's worth a try. Even if you don't see any movement, you can get more details on whether anything has happened that is not in the tracker.
