Yes, unless you are granted a COPR, your dependents cannot. For you it will be a two step process, unlike getting a COPR for all or a PPR for the entire family. You can search the forum where some applicants in similar situation have gone through this.

For the first time ever, i received a ghost update. (i mean real)
I am happy that atleast someone touched my file.
But i'm lil bit confused, my AOR is July 20, provided biometrics on November 04.
But my biometrics are showing Completed on July 19, 2020.

Hi all
I am new to this forum.
AOR-July 29th.
CEC inland- 2 dependents
I have applied through an immigration agent. However my agent is not giving me any update on my profile. He is pretty rude and tells me I need to be patient as the process may take 14-16 months due to COVID.Can I call IRCC directly? What is the phone no?
I requested my agent to apply for GCMS notes. He refused to do so as he says it will take 2 months to obtain it. what should I do? Pls help.

Call IRCC at 1888-242-2100 and find out what’s going on your application. Try calling them on Monday morning at sharp 8 am. Calling IRCC will not affect your application and right now mostly people with July AOR are getting COPRs, I hope you get it soon.

If you have your application numbers you can call IRCC, raise webform, and request transcripts.
also 12-14 months?
I’m single, CEC, inland, AOR July 31, and received copr Feb 25. That’s less than 7 months. My application was far from straight forward. I did not use a lawyer/agent. Did everything myself, from study permit in 2013, through co-op, pgwp, LMIA (with my boss), and now PR.
