Congrats! So far we have the Biometrics marked as complete but not the Background check one, did you submit also a police certificate? My mom doesnt have any criminal records but I'm wondering why this part is taking a while to be completed...

For Travel history: I told them India itself is a beautiful country and has lots of places we planned to visit in the past before we planned an international trip. We were also busy setting up a new business so going abroad didn't seem like a good plan. Now that we've seen everything India has to offer and business is settled it's the right time to plan the first international trip.

Purpose of visit: I gave day to day itenary, cut the trip from 3 weeks to 2 weeks. Showed all the hotels bookings of where we would be going and flight return tickets.

Hello

No i didn't give any police certificate. The biometrics will take care of that. They will probably use your biometric scan to search if you or your family have any criminal records. It will also depend on where u are applying from. How long have u been waiting since they had their bio done?

Biometrics were completed on July 17. According to the processing times website it should take 15 days, she is applying from Peru.
 
As per the processing time of 15 days, today marks the 15th day after Biometric was Completed. This is regarding Visitor Visa from Nepal.

How off it goes from historical processing time (noted in Processing time page of IRCC) and actual time it takes to process?

Do you guys ( from Nepal or India) have any update in your Visitor Visa application?

just wanted to update that my mom and her boyfriend (both applied at the same time, gave biometrics the same day) got approved today! Updated the timeline here:

Online Application: July 13, 2019
Submission Confirmation: July 13, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter: July 14 2019
Biometrics submitted and updated on account: July 17, 2019
Correspondence Letter: August 6

Both passports were given already when VFS took their biometrics so just waiting to get them back.
