Im so thrilled for you. I am also July 19th but nothing yet ERG. I have tried 26 times (yes I actually counted my phone history) over the past month to get in touch with the CIC outside Canada line and have not once been able to get through to an agent .
What times of the day are you trying, and your timezone, how many hours difference are you?
The call centre is in Quebec, so I tried different times of the day, and if they were too busy I would leave it alone for a few hours or even the next day.
I generally got more luck calling them after lunch/early afternoon. Although, I once even got through minutes before they closed the phone lines, and half expected to be rushed off the line because they wanted to go home. But, the agent said they continue to work on until after 7pm.
Hello, I called today to CIC, after calling 15 times I finally able to connect and got the same reply of wait only.
They can't provide much more details as the application timeline is 12 months.
So just wait wait wait and wait. But today I got some new information.
I sent my file to Mississauga office and they received on 6th July, then they sent it to Sydney and Sydney office got it on 16th of July.
That's all. But still I passed 2.5 months and by the next week will complete 3 months but still have to WAIT .......
I too, was getting the same script until one day I got an agent who went off scrpt and sent an interal email. Just received our AOR1 yesterday after 101 days of silence.
Hi everyone
I sent my application to Sydney and they received it on August 14,then i received a letter with just the application number and request for 85$ for biometric on September 9 and then nothing.
Do you it’s AOR?or not?
It looks like you may have posted in the wrong thread. The majority of July applicants weren't required to provide biometrics in our application, as it started 31 July 2018.
You will probably find more help in the Aug/Sept threads.
October 9 is when you got your AOR
October 10 is when you were able to link your app to GCKey
October 4 is when they started processing the sponsor's side of the application to see if the sponsor is eligible.
I'm in the tracker already, my name is Alessia Corica
