Hey guys. I raised a CSE yesterday and surprisingly got a response today. Can anyone tell me if this just a generic response or if this is how they respond when they actually look at your profile. Kind or looks like the latter but can't be certain:

Also, would I benefit from raising a CSE directly with Ottawa?

Hey,

That is almost word for word the response that we got from our first CSE. The only bit that is different is the paragraph suggesting you contact the Ottawa CPC, which I haven’t seen before (but I am no expert!).

Interestingly if you were to contact Ottawa, I imagine they would respond and tell you to raise a CSE. However, I don’t see any harm in trying.

Hopefully not. I have not lost hope that there is a way of getting some useful info about your application without waiting 30 days for GCMS, but I have yet to find it. Hopefully you were asked to email Ottawa for a reason so fingers crossed.
My pattern of communication is to send a CSE. The CSE refers to the website, or the myCIC portal (as if I don’t check it every day!). Every other avenue I try (emails to offices, tweets, FB) etc tells me to raise a CSE. It just becomes a circle of frustration!

Has any applicant from India been asked to give their boimetrics? Could that be a reason for delay in processing?

I have not yet been asked in my CIC account to give biometrics. I assume I shall get a message in my account to provide it.
Please correct my understanding.

Your AOR was in July, I presume.
You won't need to get the biometrics done. It's for applicants from India with AORs after December 31, 2018.
