Some good news for the ones who got a ghost update. This has been said in the Whatsapp group:

I also have a story to share. I just got off the phone with the CIC. I spoke to a nice lady called eva. I was very nice and polite to her. She explained that its not her job to tell me the status but she will have a look. Then she told me my background check is passed and eligibility passed and that my file has been approved but no email trigger. While she said that i had a look at my profile and i saw the ghost update.

I tried so many time call to cic.. But I never go through . Anyone has exact explanation how to call them with options. Not student line option.. Am inside Canada bc .

1- I was inclined to think that this ghosts were for security started, but from his report seems that it is for security completion!
2- Ottawa.

1- CIC call centre
+16139444000

2- English press 1

3- immigration press 1

4- transfer to citzship and imm can processing application press 1

5- status or processing times press 1

6- become permanent resident press 2

7- application starts with E press 2

8- then enter application number followed by #

9- listen to the entered number and press 1 to confirm

10- enter the year of birth and then listen the entered number and press 1 to confirm

11- hear the details

12- then press 1 to check status (there will be a pause)

13- hear detailed status at the end press 0 to speak to agent

I think it is... both?! Since the security it not really done by CIC, it might mean either they have received the security report and are reviewing it, or they have finished the report review and the security has passed.

Security checks can be completed in a short time if there isn't anything holding it up so we can still be hopeful for our PPRs this week.

15- every time you press a number you should yell GOOO as hard as you can. Rumor has it that it maximizes your chances.

All 4 cases (AOR dates of July 3, 4, 5) with New Delhi VO


Good sign that status changed to "Not Applicable", meaning they are actively working on your file.
My ADR status since August 10th is still same.

Yeah, it looks like it. I hope the officer is satisfied with my CV and raise his/her thumbs up!
