Have you contacted the Canadian embassy in Vienna?

Maybe you should since it's 4 months already and no update. And you know where your VO is located. You can check on cic website for their contact details or order GCMS notes or call them. But if you are patient enough to wait for the rest of the months left, then you can.

If you saw application updated but when you clicked on it nothing had changed then it's a ghost update.

I emailed him in the afternoon and got reply the same night.

Same happened in my case too!! Nothing changed in profile but where file submitted comes it displayed updated for few seconds I guess but later it again went back to submitted!!

I just had a conversation with one of CIC agents over phone. I asked her about the status of my eligibility, criminality check and security check:
Eligibility: Recommended Pass - Not Finalized
Criminality: In process
Security: Not started
I am expecting my GCMS notes sometime today or early next week. I will share any interesting points I possibly find in it.
