I just checked my profile and I noticed that they started my background check, even though I did not receive any message or notification.

My background status was "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."
Now it is "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

To add to the weirdness, my eligibility status is still "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements", so apparently they have started my background but did not finish my eligibility???

That will show in progress till you get your COPR so nothing weird.

Now that you mentioned it, yes I have read that before. But it is still weird that I had an update without receiving any notification...

Yesterday medical is done for my new born baby. Now whats the further step. Doctor informed me that they will send one document via email and they will update cic as well. Do I need to upload the document in cic online portal?

Yes, they say that they have requested the notes status but I have not heard back from IRCC yet

Any news on your GCMS notes? I received the same generic email saying that the 35 days limit has expired and that they have requested the note status.
